In 1861 John was a draper living with children at Charles, John H 12, Mary B 11, Alice 2, Fanny E 7 months and two servants. Mary was a visitor with James and Elizabeth Osmond at Exeter St David in 1861 census. John died 7 May 1879 Plymouth. Mrs Borlase Stidston formerly Miss Mary Frean was well known in Plymouth for her work for discharged prisoners. With her husband John she kept a draper’s shop in Treville Street.She died 25 March 1895 in Plymouth
