Census/Folketelling 1875: https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ft/person/pf01052235001216
World War I Draft. Registration card; https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K6Z2-32D
In 1882 Johan, with his siblings and parents immigrated to America. Their name in Norway was LARSON, but because there were so many families with that name in America, they changed it to WADHOLM, taking the name of the place they had come from which was Vadholman.
They first settled in Red Oak, Iowa. In 1897 they moved to Veblen, South Dakota where the elder Wadholm homesteaded. In 1916 the Wadholm men went to North Dakota to homestead, leaving the families behind in South Dakota. In 1918 wife Petra with her sister Charlotte and children went to North Dakota also. John (Johan) homesteaded south of Sanish, North Dakota but because of the bobcats, left and moved southeast of Newtown. In 1942 John, Petra and children moved to California.
