About John Warner, Jr., of Middletown
Children of John Warner of Middletown and his wife Anna, order not known but inferred from record of their baptism in Middletown in 1669
2. John Warner, b. about 1657; m. Mrs. Silence Hand Wilcox.
Married (2nd wife of John Warner II) July, 1715, Mrs. SILENCE HAND-WILCOX, born March, 1678-79, or November 12, 1679, probably in Guilford, Conn., died before 1726. She was the daughter of Joseph Hand (son of John of Easthampton L.I.) who settled in the eastern part of the town of Guilford after 1660 and married in 1664, Jane Wright, daughter of Benjamin Wright. Joseph Hand was a Representative to the General Court in 1720, and seems to have been one of the substantial men of the town, serving on various committees.
Silence Hand first married, October 23, 1698, Ephraim Wilcox, of Middletown. who died January 4, 1711.
