About Jon Pierre Arquette
Jon was a talented artist, he spent a lifetime working on his skills. He worked as a fine artist and a commercial artist as well, murals became a focus for him. He was also a self- taught musician, playing blues and rock guitar. He enjoyed jazz as did his father, Les, who was also an accomplished musician; sax and clarinet his instruments of choice.
Jon was the perrenial bachelor, never quite finding the ability to settle into a fixed relationship. He liked his parties, his drinks, his women and his friends. Everyone knew Jon and enjoyed having him around; his wit and humor kept us all laughing.
He had seen a fair chunk of the USA, traveling as far west as Hawaii, through Canada, and exploring both the east and west coasts. Yet he always returned to the Gulf Coast of Florida, to the town where he was born, Venice, and the people that he knew.
He died at 49 after a 5 month bout with his liver. He was attended to the end by his brother Rusty, his Best Friend Keith Dillon, and his mother. He died at 11:15 PM on December 6th in his home in Nokomis Florida. His ashes are intered at the Epiphany Catholic Cathederal in Venice, but we did manage to scatter some of his ashes off the dock at the North Jetty Fish Camp, a place he loved visit. He would have loved that sunset. - I miss him terribly - Rusty Arquette
