Jonah Oklahombi, 74, of Wright City, died Thursday, Oct. 14, in Wright City.
He was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Wright City and had lived in McCurtain County his entire life. He was a member of the Luksuklo Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 74 of Wright City. He was a veteran of World War II. His father was the most decorated veteran from Oklahoma in World War I.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Abraham Kirby in 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oklahombi of the home; stepsons, James Kirby and Clifton Kirby, both of Wright City; six step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Luksuklo Presbyterian Church in Wright City with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Yashau Cemetery under direction of Norwood, Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel.
