Ben M. Angel notes: In the Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico's Great New Mexico Pedigree Database, Nemesio appears either to be listed as a female or to be twinned with a female named Maria:

My best guess is that this was a mistaken interpretation of a handwritten church record, as "mesio" and "Maria" could appear to be quite similar if the handwriting weren't particularly legible. The years and parents and siblings are the same as in other records, though. Citations for this record:
