About Jose Sevilla Camus, Jr.
Jose graduated from the UP in 1914 with a degree in Agriculture. He was assistant director of the agriculture bureau in the late 1920s. He served as as Undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture and Commerce of the American colonial government in the 1930s. He was appointed Director of the Bureau of Plant Industry in 1934. He was appointed Undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture & Natural Resources in 1945 and would serve until the 1950s.
His wife Luisa is his first cousin (his mother Maxima is Luisa's maternal aunt). Malabon de Sevilla Tree Custodian, 2018
