About Josefina Zamora

She was the daughter of Desiderio Zamora and Felicitas Granillo. She had a brother named Juan (John); a twin sister named Eloise; a sister named Maria; a sister named Carmen; a sister named Paula ("Wanda"); a brother named Ramon (Raymond); and another brother named Manuel.

Her first husband was Reynaldo Ronquillo whom she married when she was 14 years old in an arrangement that her father, Desiderio, made in order to clear his own gambling debt. After Reynaldo passed away she re-married to Filimon Barela whom she dearly loved. Photos of both husbands are in the list to the right (click on "Click here to view all images..." at the bottom of the last photo to see more.)

High mass with the Franciscan Choir was provided for her funeral, and at the time of her death she was the only female to have ever been buried in the robes of the Franciscan Fathers.
