Josefine Elisabeth Stein

Josefine Elisabeth Wagner, known by the name Josefine.

Also spelled Josefa Elisabeth in some sources, but she used Josefine herself.

She and her family were Catholic. She married August Stein in the Jewish community in 1877. In the same year her husband left the Jewish community. In 1885 and 1886 their three children and her husband were also baptized as Catholics. She remarried her husband in a Catholic ceremony in St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna on the same day that he was baptized (28 January 1886).
