GEDCOM Note
The Etta Faubion Lake records state that this family moved to Missouri in the Fall of 1833. Other records have not been found to confirm this date; however the biography of son Jacob Smith records his birth in Clay County, Missouri in 1836. When the 1840 census was enumerated, this family was living in Platte County, Missouri. Hephzibah's obituary does not disclose the place of Jacob's death in 1849, nor have we found any member of this family on the 1850 census except son John Rector Faubion who apparently joined the rush for gold and was in California. When the Census was taken in 1860, Hephzibah and Gilbert Woolsey were living in Buchanan Township, Atchison County, Missouri, as was Hephzibah's son Jacob Smith Faubion.
