Obituary ( Nashua,Telegraph ) Aug, 3, 1940
Joseph E. Latour of 50 Dexter St , died at his home late Friday afternoon. Born in Plattsburg, July 27, 1860, Mr Latour had been a resident of this city for the past sixty years. He had been in the employ of the B & M Railroad in the capacity of switch-man, from which position he retired fifteen years ago. His death will be a shock to his many friends, since he was such a well known and respected citizen. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Mary E. ( Breault ) Latour ; eleven children, seven sons & four daughters, the sons being Arthur, Joseph M, George, JohnAlfred,Robert & Paul all of this city; the daughters, Mrs Josephine Tesseier of Mass;Mrs Anna Esson, Miss Rose Latour,both of this city Mrs Margaret Leater of Merrimack, this state ; two brothers, George Latour of Torrington,Conn,; Alfred Latour of this city;also several grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mr Latour was a member of the Trainmen Brotherhood, and a member of the Canado-Americain,court Mercier No 11. Friends may call at the home at 50 Dexter St, after 5 this afternoon
