About Joseph Isaac Locke
Joseph was a coal miner. He was a baseball pitcher and played some pro league ball when he wasn't mining coal.According to his grandson, Don Carlos, Joe developed a famous "spit ball".Joseph was still alive in 1952 and living in Augusta, OH, and is mentioned in his sister Sarah's obituary.Joseph later died of lung cancer and is buried in the Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, Ohio.
