Know all men by these presents, that I Nathaniel Hews of Brimfield, in the County of 'Hampshire' in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England, Cordwainer. In Consideration of Fourteen pounds of Lawful money, paid to me by Joseph Lumbard of Brimfield, in the County and Province aforesaid, Yeoman. The Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, Do hereby, give, grant, and convey to the said Joseph Lumbard – his heirs, a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land lying in Brimfield, bounded as followeth.

Beginning at a heap of Stones, the Northwest corner of John Miller's lot, which is now owned by John Draper. From thence, Northerdly to the bridge on the Road 'so on' the Road to a Stake and Stones on said Moses Brooks land. Then Southerly to a Stake and Stones on said Brookses land, then Easterly on said Brookses land to where it first began Containing Six acres, be more or less, of Land.

To Have and To Hold the Same, to the said Joseph Lumbard, his heirs and assignes forever. And I said Nathaniel Hews, for myself, my heirs, and I do covenant with the said Joseph Lumbard, his Heirs and asignes. That I am lawfully Seized In fee of the premises, they are free of all Incumbrances, That I have good Right to Sell and convey the same to the said Joseph Lumbard. To hold as aforesaid, and that I will Warrant and Defend the Same to the said Joseph Lumbard, with all the privilege belonging there unto his Heirs and assignes forever against the lawfull Claims and Demands of all persons.

In this Eighth Day of March, one thousand Seven Hundred and fifty nine. In the thirty Second Year of his Majesties Reign. Signed, Sealed, and Delivered In presence of us James Thompson, William Searls Nathaniel Hews & (Seal) Hampshire Js: Brimfield, March 12th, 1759 Nath—Hews Suscriber to the aforegoing Instrument appeared & acknowledged the Same to be his free act and Deed.
