Elizabeth Abbott, first child of John Abbott and his 1st wife Elizabeth Berry, b. of record Dec. 31, 1721 in the Town of Tolland, Conn. She d. of record at Tolland on Dec. 17, 1782,Æ 61. On an unrecorded date, but likely prior to Jan. 1, 1740, Elizabeth m. first, Joseph Peck, Jr., s. of Joseph Peck and Margaret Stiles, b. of record Feb. 8, 1716/17 in Tolland, Conn. Joseph Peck, Jr. d. intestate of record in Tolland on Apr. 19, 1741, Æ 25. By this marriage was b. one child, son John Peck, b. in Tolland Aug. 24, 1740. At the widow Elizabeth's request, her father John Abbott was appointed administrator of Joseph Peck's estate and guardian of his grandson John Peck. [Manwaring, 3:318]
