He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, also Dugway Proving Grounds while serving in Utah. In 1944 he married his beloved wife, Lucille Louise Tucker and had two children, a daughter, Louise Alice Wood of Boise and son, Joseph Boyd Pecora Jr. of Placerville, Idaho. After being discharged from the U.S. Army in 1945 Boyd returned home to his family and friends. Boyd worked for a couple of Body Shops, including one he and two of his brothers started together, called the Pecora Brothers Body Shop. He also worked a short while for Logston's with brothers Lorraine and Stuart Pecora. Then for Roy C. Davidsons with his brother Lorraine. In 1952 Boyd found employment with The Idaho Power Company where he worked 30 years and became a member of The Idaho Power Company Pioneers until his retirement in 1982. Boyd also became a Master Mason of the Masonic Oriental Lodge No. 60, in March of 1970. Boyd spent a lot of time at his cabin fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and his most favorite, riding his 4 wheeler through the beautiful mountains and on many trails at Fall Creek, his home away from home. Boyd and Lucille celebrated 61 years of marriage until his life-long companion, Lucille, passed away in September of 2005. Boyd is survived by his two children, son, Joseph Boyd Pecora Jr. and his wife Julie, of Placerville, Idaho, daughter, Louise Alice Wood of Boise, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
