About Joseph Snyder
His original place of burial was in the family vault at Old St Mary's and later removed to the family lot at Old Cathedral.
He operated an iron foundry which provided parts for the ship building industry.
Joseph Snyder was very active in the affairs of St Marys' & St Josephs' especially the orphans asylum of the latter.
