Obituary:
Joseph R. Treat died at his residence in Beach Lake, last Sunday, aged 62 years. He leaves a wife and five children. He was a veteran and pensioner, having served in Co. K, 137th Penna. Volunteers, an organization mainly recruited in Manchester and Buckingham. He enlisted Aug. 28, 1862, and was sick in the hospital when the command was mustered out, June 1, 1863. He was a farmer by occupation. Interment in the Beach Lake Cemetery
