Josepha Didnio Chinco Mercado was born in 1741 and named after her mother's sister. "She had lived only five days, but payments to the priest for a funeral such as was not given to many grown persons who died that year in Biñan show how keenly the parents felt the loss of their little girl." Her brother, 10 years her senior, was Jose Rizal's father.
