BEYOND THE SUNSET'S GOLD. KADOW.

Mrs. Josephine Kadow closed her eyes in the eternal sleep at an early hour this morning. Death was due to pneumonia and the last illness was of but few weeks duration.

Deceased was 92 years of age and has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Julia Kattner, corner 22nd and Marshall Streets, for the past twenty years. Up to the time of the illness which resulted in death, Mrs. Kadow had enjoyed excellent health, and even when the summons came it was unexpected.

Mrs. Kadow was born in Poland in 1808 and resided there until about 20 years ago. Her husband died in 1860 and in 1880 she came here to spend her last days with her children.

Four sons and two daughters survive to mourn her demise. She was a loving mother, kind friend and sympathetic neighbor and will be missed by many friends. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

• ******** From Der Nord Westen, 15 Feb. 1900: Death Thurs. morning last week of Mrs. Josephine Kadow at the home of her son-in-law Paul Kastner here. The deceased, whose husband died back in 1860, had been born in Poland in 1808, thus reaching 92 yrs. of age. She is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters. Her funeral took place Sat. morning from the Polish Church.
