Josephine Agnes Valeriote

Josephine was the President of St. Joseph's Home Guild from 1975-1987. She was very charitable in supporting those less fortunate. As a devout Catholic, she was honoured by the Jewish community as a recipient of a Hadassah Award. She will be remembered as an astute business woman in a era when that was rare. Josephine's main focus in life was her family as exhibited by her love, generosity and guidance. "Josie" was best known for her fine culinary talents, sense of humour and strength. She was a summer resident of Port Elgin for over 60 years.

Josephine is buried at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph, Ontario,Canada. Dear Grandmother of Sharrie (Joe), Jeffrey and Paula and great-grandmother of Christoper and Tessarae.
