Obituary for Josephine Mays (Parker) Woodford:

Josephine Parker Woodford, formerly of Gainesville, died on August 25, 2006 at Budd Terrace Nursing Home in Atlanta. She was 92. Mrs. Woodford was the youngest daughter of Lula Jeter Parker and George Pleasant Parker of Bedford, Virginia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Federated Music Club, and was a founding member of the Newcomers Club of Gainesville. Mrs. Woodford was preceded in death by her husband, John Carson Woodford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Georgette and Doug Willix of Atlanta, and her grandchildren, Carson Willix and Laura Willix. Burial will be at Memorial Park in Gainesville, with a private memorial service to be held at a later date in Atlanta. Little-Davenport Funeral Home, Gainesville, GA in charge of arrangements.
