Joshua Buffum was born 22 FEB 1634 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England and died 19 OCT 1705 in Salem, Essex Co, MA. He was the son of Robert Buffum and Tamasin Ward. He married Dameris Pope, daughter of Joseph Pope and Gertrude Shattuck. She was born 23 APR 1643.

"It seems that the baptism of Joshua and subsequently of Mary Buffum were registered at both Great Yarmouth [St Nicholas, Norfolk] in1635 and 1637 respectively and also entered in the registers of Salem, Massachusetts." [1]
