About Joshua Chandler
Former Justice of the Peace of New Haven County and a representative of New Haven in the General Assembly.
On or about 9 Mar 1787. Joshua Chandler died after a vessel he and his family were traveling in from Annapolis, Nova Scotia to St. Johns. His son William Chandler perished from drowning after the vessel hit rocks. Joshua and his daughter Betsy Chandler perished after exposure from snow and cold temperatures.
