The Chronicle of the Yerkes Family, with Notes on the Leech and Rutter Families, page 217, states that in 17127 a Captain Jacob Leech ran for one of two postions where you were elected by the people. The position he ran for was that of Coroner of the County of Philadelphia. His opponent was Joshua Fincher. Apparently, Joshua won.
