Biography

Josiah was born in 1701 in Rowley, Massachusetts, the son of Josiah Wood and Mary Felt. He moved, with his parents to Somers about 1713. Josiah married Hannah Killam in 1724 and they raised 10(?) children in Somers. His death date and location is uncertain at this time.

Issues

I am of the belief that this Josiah Wood (b. 1701 in Rowley, MA, and father of Esther Wood, b. 1732 in Enfield [or Somers?]), did not marry Dorothy Hamilton (now unlinked from this record) and likely did not die in Brookfield (I've seen no death records for Josiah). I'm also not 100% convinced that this Josiah (father of Esther and husband of Hanna Killam) was born in Rowley. I'm working to straighten out this confusion.
