About Jozsef Schreiber

Josef was a partner with Salomon Weissburg in a wine business in Erdobenye, Hungary. In the book "The Weissburgs" (Roger W. Weiss, Chicago, 1975) is quoted several times:
Is mentioned as one of the Jewish leaders of the community and wine merchant in the Szirmay law suit.
He figured as president of the Jewish community in 1879.
In the mentioned book appears the certificate of birth of Jakob Weiszburg signed by Josef Schreiber in 1879.
Owner of vineyards and "partner" of Weissburg, Kaufmann and Roth.
They were accused of violating Szirmay's privilege in wine production.
In some documents his name appears as Jozef Sreiber (for example, in the marriage register of 1848 in Erdöbenye).According to this document, he was born in 1822, although other documents show the year 1825 as his date of birth
Everything seems to indicate that Jozsef Schreiber married Fanni Grad (sister of Katalin Grad) after the death of Katalin. This is indicated by the certificate of death of Fanni Grad signed by Jenö Klein. Jenö Klein was the husband of Pepi Szegal. Pepi Szegal was the daughter of Fanni Grad and Jakab Szegal.
His grave is very deteriorated but you can read some words: " The superlative Rabbi in the Torah...""Diligent from donations..." (2 first lines). Josef Ben Zvi (4 line) "Kislev 5560"
