Funeral services for Jean Kyle McWhirter, 92 of New Braunfels, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 23, 2019, at First Baptist Church Elkhart, with Rev. Floyd Petersen officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.

Mrs. McWhirter passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Edenhill Communities in New Braunfels. She was born June 7, 1926 in Elkhart, to Raymond Kyle and Charm Parker Kyle. She was a longtime Baptist, and worked for the city of Houston.

Mrs. McWhirter was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Bob McWhirter, daughter Belinda Hawthorne Frisk and husband Ron, son John Robert Hawthorne, three grandchildren; Lyndsey Frisk, Ronald Todd Frisk, and Stephanie Jill Brand, and three great grandchildren.
