Juana was the daughter of a General, the wife of a General, and the mother of a General.

The 1741 will of Doña Juana De Leon is printed here. [Ramo Civil, Volumen 81, Exp. 1, Fol. 35]. The names of her husband (as well as his place of birth in Spain), her children, several relatives, and other persons are cited with varietal bequests in addition to her place of burial in the Iglesia Parroquial with numerous bequests to the church. Among the specified bequests is a female slave named Ana Mariana to her grandson Joaquín García de Pruneda.
