Jubilee served under Governor Sam Houston in the Militia of Tennessee. He took the oath of Captain on November 25, 1830.This was also the timing of the Colonists and Indian Wars. The Cherokee Trail of Tears to Oklahoma was just a few years after Jubilee's Commission date and he may have participated in the removal of the Cherokee Indian Nation from Tennessee, the Carolina's, and Georgia.
