About Judson Archibald Langan

BREWER and LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – Judson A. Langan, 70, devoted husband to Sharon (Wozneak) Dawson Langan, died July 30, 2006, in Tampa, Fla. after a long illness. He was born May 16, 1936, in Portland, the son of Archibald W. and Muriel (Turner) Langan. Judd was a hard-working man with a wonderful sense of humor and a strong sense of right and wrong, and he loved people. He was employed with the telephone company for 37 years, retiring from Verizon as real estate foreman. He enjoyed golf, travel, socializing with friends, puttering with tools, woodworking, motors and bargain hunting. He co-owned Orrington Cycle Supply. He also owned PMCO until 1998. Juddie loved music and was a well-known and respected bass player in the area for many years. He was a member of the Bangor BPOE Lodge No. 244. Judson was a dearly loved dad and will be greatly missed by his children. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sharon, are his children, Nancy Benecke and her husband, Dwayne, of Carmel, Patricia Albert and her husband, Allen, of Bangor, Michael Dawson and his wife, Kim, of Keene, N.H., Julie Hock of Illinois, Daryl Dawson and his wife, Karen, of Brewer, Paul Dawson of Keene, N.H.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two sisters, Dea Cates of Eddington and Muriel Brownell and her husband, Ron, of Potterville, Mich.; two brothers, Lester Bonzey of Lewiston and Jim Bonzey and his wife, Sue, of Dedham. Judd will be sadly missed by several in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, John Bonzey. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. After the service there will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Judson’s life, at his sister Dea Cates’ home. A service of Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
