June I. Cannaday of Newberg died July 8, 2010. She was 89.

She was born June 21, 1921, to Ray and Martha (Godwin) Vaughan in Foster. She graduated from Alsea High School in 1939.

She married Herbert Cannaday in November 1942 in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death in 1943. She married Lloyd Cannaday in 1946 in Stevenson, Wash. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She enjoyed gardening, working with the elderly and spending time with family.

Survivors include: sisters, Mary Anderson of Sublimity and Nancy Walls of Lebanon; sons, Lloyd of Roseburg, Ray of Boring and Wayne and Terry of Newberg; daughters, Herbietta Heater, Evelyn Parlette and Jeannine Cannaday, all of Newberg, and Bonnie Snyder and Martha Brown of Bend; stepdaughters Fern Roady of Medford and Opal Hunt of Grants Pass; 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by stepson Richard and two grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at Deschutes Memorial Gardens in Bend.
