About Kapeka KEAWE
MRS. KAPEKA MALAILUA
Mrs. Kapeka Malailua, well known Hawaiian, died at her home in Morris Lane, Palama, late yesterday afternoon. Death was almost sudden, for she had been well up to a few hours before. Old age is attributed as the cause of her passing away. She was a widow, 80 years old, and a native of Maui. Funeral services will be held at Williams’ undertaking parlors this afternoon, interment to be in Kalaepohaku cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Malailua are three sons, Joseph, John and Ano Malailua.
~Obituary from The Pacific Commercial Advertiser, Honolulu, Thursday, March 25, 1920, page 6.
Note: The only sons I know that Kapeka had were Joseph Malailua & John Ano, NOT Joseph, John & Ano Mailalua. In addition to the two sons are two daughters not mentioned, Lucy, who died that same year and Lahapa who is not mentioned, but died 4 years later.
