Mrs. Vasfaret Is Buried Tuesday
Pioneer Griggs Lady Dies of Heart Ailment in Sverdrup on Friday
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Ness Lutheran Church east of Cooperstown for Mrs. Kari Vasfaret, pioneer Griggs Woman who settled in Sverdrup Township in the early eighties. Rev. S. Sydness conducted the service.

Mrs. Vasfaret passed away Friday after an illness of about two years, during which time she suffered from a heart ailment. She was 72 and a widow, her husband, Harold Vasfaret, having preceded her in death.
She was born July 17, 1866 in Norway, had lived on the homestead in Sverdrup since the family settled there.
Surviving are seven children: Martin, Amund, Christ and Gilbert, all of Cooperstown; Mrs. Oliver Bjustad of Finley, Mrs. Bernard Loge of Sioux Falls, SD and Halgrim of Dayton, OR.
Interment was made in the Ness Cemetery.
