About Karmela Mucalo
On the 9th of May 1916, Karmela and her brother (Ivo Mucalo) witnessed the torpedoing and sinking ( by an Italian enemy submarine) the Dubrovnik-based steamer (parobrod) called "Dubrovnik" just off the cape between Sucuraj and Peljesac. They were in a vineyard in vale Korice (6 km from Sucuraj) when they saw it being attacked (torpedoed) and sunk. See "media" for picture of the steamer and the explanation in Croatian.
