She was born January 10, 1894 at McCammon to James E. And Isabelle Goodenough Reid. Her mother died when she was 2 and she was reared by her father and maternal grandmother. She received her education in American Falls schools. In 1913, she married Roy Noel Bower. Following their marriage they lived in Quincy, California. After they divorced she returned to Idaho. She worked at Jackson, Wyoming where she married Edward Blair in 1929 and they moved to Firth in 1935. She worked as a seamstress, which included sewing uniforms for the Firth High School Drill Team, and for other people throughout the Snake River Valley. In later years she and her husband managed the theater in Firth and were custodians in the First School District. She also worked as a cook in the Firth schools. Her husband died in 1960. For several years she has been cared for in her home by a nephew, Douglass Reid. She enjoyed gardening and yard work. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Helen M. Bower of Union, Oregon, and grandchildren, Joan Hosey and Jean Smith, both of La Grande, Oregon, Ronald Lee Bower of Nampa, and Karlee Langley of Huntington, Oregon, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, and five brothers and a sister. Graveside services were held today in Firth Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nalder Mortuary in Shelley.
