Kate Filsinger

OAKLAND — Katherine Pauline (Peck) Filsinger, 94, of Oakland, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.

Born Jan. 26, 1919, in Listonburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Carma May (Henica) Peck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Philip Hugo “Babe” Filsinger Jr.; five brothers, Judson Peck, Jonas Peck, Arthur Peck, James Peck and Everett “Bub” Peck and five sisters, Edith Rodeheaver, Ruth Bray, Mary Ridder, Hazel VanSickle and Lydia Kisner.

Katherine retired from Sterling Processing as a supervisor and was a member of St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

She is survived by one sister, Martha Beitzel, of Fairfax, Va. and numerous nieces and nephews.
