Catherine (or Katharine) Scarborough was born about 1696 in Suffolk, Massachusetts to parents Samuel Scarborough and Bethiah Wise.
She married firstly Edward Payson on 14 Jul 1720 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
Children:

After Edward Payson died in 1722, Katharine Scarborough married secondly to Henry Lee on 25 Dec 1725 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
The children of Katherine and Henry Lee were:
- Henry,
- Samuel,
- Ezekiel,
- Lucy,
- Charles,
- William,
- Joshua.
She died about 1778 in Barre, Worcester, Massachusetts.

Henry Lee married second widow Katherine (Scarborough) Payson of Roxbury on December 25, 1725. [7]
Henry died at Concord, Massachusetts on February 25, 1745. [5]
On March 5, 1746, Katharine Lee and Abner Lee were admitted by the court to administer the estate of Henry Lee, late of Worcester. The inventory was appraised at L139 15s on March 24, 1745/6. [8]
On April 24, 1746, submitted at Roxbury, widow Katherine Lee, petitioned the court the her son and daughter Williams be granted their portion of their father Payson's estate, which should have been saved out of the inventory of her late husband Henry Lee's estate. [8]
His widow Katharine is thought to have died about 1788 in Barre, Massachusetts.
Children of Katharine Scarborough and Henry Lee:
- Henry born October 26, 1726. [7] Henry, age 19, was placed under the guardianship of Daniel Ward, after his father's death. His brother Abner Lee of Rutland was among the petitioner's.[13]
- Samuel born May 23, 1728. [7] Samuel, age about 18, was placed under the guardianship of Joseph Wilder after his father's death. His brother Abner Lee of Rutland was among the petitioner's.[14]
- Ezekiel born October 15, 1730. [7] Ezekiel, in 1749 aged about 18 years, chose Luke Rice of Shrewsbury as his guardian. [15]
