"Temple Farm", Lyon G. Tyler, William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Pepers, Vol. 2, No. 1 (Jul ., 1893, pp. 3-21. This issue lists William Booth as a Justice of the Peac e of York Co, and gives a death date of May 16, 1691, with wife, Margaret, possibly the daughter of Col. James Bray . They had two children,

  • Hope, married to John Tomer, who in turn had a son named John Tomer, Jr.; and
  • Elizabeth, married to Capt. Thomas Nutting, himself a J.P. of York Coun ty. They had five children: Booth Nutting; Mary Nutting, married to Richard Sclater; Elizabeth Nutting, married to John Doswell, Jr.; Katherine Nutting, 1st married to Capt. William Sheldon, 2nd married to Robert Armistead, and last child was Jane.
