About Katherine Curwen
Katherine Salkeld was born at Rosgill, Cumberland, England.1 She married Sir Christopher Curwen, son of Sir Thomas Curwen and Anne Lowther, after 1452.1 She died after 14 November 1500 at Workington Hall, Cumberland, England.1 The eldest of Sir Richard Salkeld's five daughters and coheirs.
Subsequent to the death of her husband, Sir Christopher Curwen, Katherine claimed to have had eight children by him, but Isabella is the only one of whom we have a record.1 Her married name became Curwen.1
