Obituary published in The Ludowici News, Thurs, July 25, 1991. Kathy S. Pinder. Kathy Sittle Pinder, 38, died Friday, July 19, in Wayne Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Portsmouth, VA, native was a member of the Jesup First Baptist Church. She had a Masters Degree in Early Childhood education from Georgia Southern University and taught school in Wayne County for eight years. Survivors are her husband, Walt Pinder Jr. of Jesup; three daughters, Erin Leigh Pinder, Kerri Michelle Pinder and Allison Marie Pinder, all of Jesup; her mother, Margaret M. Sittle of Ludowici; a sister, Novella Krausche of New Carrollton, MD; two brothers, Von Sittle of Ludowici and Bruce Sittle of Washington, DC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, from the Jesup First Baptist Church with Dr. William Wood and the Rev. Bobby Broach officiating. Interment was in the Elim Cemetery in Long County. Active pallbearers were Thomas Woodard, John Woodard, Carey B. Jones, Joe Paris, Jim Wheeler and Stanley Todd. Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home was in charge.
