Katie N. Troyer

WALNUT CREEK - Katie N. Wengerd, age 84, of Walnut Creek, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, July 3rd, 2019 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Berlin Mennonite Church, Berlin, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Hochsteter and Ernie Hershberger officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. at Berlin Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Walnut Hills activity room. 4748 Olde Pump St, Walnut Creek, OH 44687.

Katie was born December 9th, 1934 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Noah J. and Ella (Miller) Troyer. On November 20th, 1956 married Mose S. Wengerd and he preceded her in death on July 21st, 2012.

Katie worked at Walnut Hills Nursing Home for 32 years, and attended the Berlin Mennonite Church.

Katie is survived by a daughter Mary Ellen (Dave) Hershberger of Holmesville; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Troyer of Sugarcreek, Esther Wengerd of Walnut Creek, Emma (Eli) Yoder of Sugarcreek, Albert N. (Jennifer) Troyer of Berlin and Alvin N. Troyer of Walnut Creek.

She is preceded in death by her husband; and brothers, Roy N. Troyer and Ray N. Troyer.
