About Kilrain Wright Willet

Kilrain (Kilrene or Kilring) Wright Willett was born in Caruthersville, Missouri March 1, 1894 to John B. Willett and Minnie Adams Willett. He married Rose Lee (Rosalee) Motley November 8, 1913. Kilrain was reportedly killed by a train in Bald Knob, White County Arkansas May 9, 1939. K.W. Willett is buried in White County Arkansas near Searcy. Where the White County fairgrounds is presently located, there was a place called the Poor Folks Home. It's operation was traced from 1859 to 1972. People who were poor or handicapped lived there. The people who died at the home and others were buried in a cemetery that was located about where the livestock display building was later built. The cemetery was called the County Farm Cemetery & later the Fairgrounds Cemetery. There are possibly more than a hundred graves in the cemetery. Mr. Willett's grave, as others is unmarked.
