Hello! I am Kristen Archer. I began researching my family (off and on) just a little over 10 years ago. In 2015 I picked it up again and have stuck to it since. I have found a lot of interesting things thanks to the internet and, of course, various records.

My maiden name is Archer. I am an Archer through my mother's side, from there, it is a very paternal line. Each Archer I am descended from was male, except for my mother. We are descended from the Umberslade Archers of England. I have even seen my ancestors in records before 1066 (Hastings).

My father's side is called Swedish (Swedich), a very mysterious history that I have hit a wall with. I began researching his side in 2016 My great-grandfather Josef Swedich immigrated to the United States in 1901 (born about 1870). His records say that he was born in Serbia, his marriage certificate says Austria. At the time of his birth, Serbs were living within the Austrian-Hungarian empire, so I believe that is why his birth location changes. For the moment I say that I am an English-Austrian-Serb. haha
