LaJetta Glover

DRIGGS -- LaJetta Glover, 79, Driggs, Idaho, a former beauty shop operator, died September 7, 1987, at Teton Valley Hospital of cancer. She was born January 31, 1908, at Animony, Utah, to Elias and Elsie Dockstetter Gardner. She was educated in the Ashton area. She married Arvid Favie Glover November 2, 1925, at Pocatello, Idaho. The marriage was laer solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 9, 1954. They moved to Marysville, Idaho, where they lived on the family farm until 1928 when they moved to Ashton. She opened LaJetta's Beauty Shop there. In 1951, they moved to Blackfoot, where Mr. Glover was employed as a manager of a seed company, and she again opened a beauty shop. In 1956 the couple moved to Twin Falls where she owned and operated LaJetta's Beauty Shop until she retired in 1971 and moved to Driggs, Idaho. She became ill about four years ago and spent the last year living with her daughter, Yutonna Bean in Driggs. She was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Yutonna) Bean of Driggs, Mrs. Dean (Jacquolin) Ferney of Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Shelton (Marsha) Beregson of Brigham City, Utah; two brothers, Von Gardner of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Renaldo Gardner of Clearfield, Utah; 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and three sisters.

The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Driggs LDS STake Center with Bishop James Price officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7 to 7 p.m. at Trimble Funeral Home in Driggs, and at the church Thursday for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Ashton Pineview Cemetery.
