LaRaue P. Schell

ELIZABETHVILLE - Larue P. Schell, 96, of 107 E. Broad Street in Elizabethville passed away July 8th, 2013 at the Manor At Susquehanna Village.

She was born in Thompsontown on March 10, 1917 the daughter of the late Clark and Elizabeth (Reitenbach) Wingard. She was the widow of James Shomper, Harrison "Jack" Wells, and Ernest Schell.

She was a member of Salem UCC, Elizabethville. She worked as a receptionist for the Dept. of Aging, and in previous years worked as a caretaker and cleaning person, and also worked for Human Services.

She is survived by her daughters Edith Barder of Lykens and Elizabeth Keefer of Newport, sons James Shomper of Halifax, and Lynn Wells of Halifax, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Carl Shomper, and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12th from 10-11:00 am at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow at St. James Church Cemetery, Carsonville. Donations can be made to Salem UCC, W. Main Street, Elizabethville, PA 17023.
