Kissell, La Verne Bernice

La Verne Bernice Kissell passed away on January 9 peacefully at her home in Covina surrounded by her family. She was married to the love of her life, Edward Kissell for almost 64 years. She was born on February 7, 1929 in Chicago and grew up in Markham, Illinois. After moving to Covina, she and Ed started their own business. She continued to be dedicated to both her family and running the office of All Pack Co. for over 35 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward, and her daughters, Kitty Wicks (Rob) Terry Gleason (Craig), and Mickey, and sons, Bill (Cheri) and Eddy (Kari). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. La Verne enjoyed camping and boating with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and hosted many Rotary foreign exchange students in their home. The biggest joy in her life were her children and grandchildren. She was "Mommom" to all the kids and their friends, welcoming them into her home and her heart. She will be missed by all who loved her. The celebration of her life will be held on February 9, 2013 at 12:00 Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 344 Workman Street in Covina, with a reception to follow. LaVerne B. Kissell, 83, born on February 7, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away January 9, 2013. She resided in Covina, California for 59 years until the time of her passing. She was surrounded by family as she left us for her final adventure to heaven. She will forever be our strength and loving hope as she will always be with us, A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 344 W. Workman St., Covina, CA 91723 On the 9th of February, 2013 at 12:00 noon. A celebration reception to follow at the Kissell home, 3329 San Joaquin Rd, Covina, CA 91724. Approx 1:00 pm
