As also to the Memory Of the virtuous Lady Dame Anne, his Wife, who was the Daughter of William Stone of Segenhoe, alias Segnoe, in the County of Bedford, Esquier, and had by the said Sir Stephen, 6 Sonnes, and 5 Daughters.
Sir William Soame, Knight, who married Bridget, the fourth Daughter and Coheir of Benedict Barnham, late Alderman of London.
Sir Stephen Soame ,Knight, who married Elizabeth, Daughter of Sir Thomas Playters, of Satterley, in the County of Sutfolcke, Knt.
Thomas Soame, Esquier, who married Joane, the eldest Daughter of Mr. William Freeman, of Aspenden, in the County of Hartford, Efquyer.
Nicholas, who died in his infancy.
John Soame, Esquyer, who married Mary, the eldest Daughter of Thomas Perient, of Birch, in the County of Essex, Efquyer.
Matthew,who died at Cambridge, without issue, at the Age of 21 yeares.
Mercy, married to Sir Calthrop Parker, of Erwarton, in the County of Suffolk, Knight.
Mary, who died in her infancy.
Anne, married to Sir John Wentworth,of Somerley, in the County of Suffolk,Knight.
Judith, married to Sir Francis Anderson, of Eyworth, in the County of Bedford, Knight, and
Jane, married to Sir Nathaniell Barnardiston, of Keddington, alias Ketton, in the County of Suffolck, Knight.
This virtuous Lady, Dame Anne, was truly wife, and as truly religious.
She, with her Sonnes, being Exequutors to the aforesaid Sir Stephen, builded this new lie, and caused this Monument to be erected, after she had lived above three yeares a Widdowe, and attained to the age of threescore and seaven yeares, and living to see 22 Grandchildren, by her Sonnes and Daughters, She changed Mortality for Immortality, Aug 20 1622, and lyeth with her Husband here interred.
Loe thus shall the Man be blessed, that feareth the Lord. Pf. 128. 5.
Our Sonnes as the Plants, our Daughters as the polish'd Corners of the Temple. Pf. 144. 12. Many Daughters have done virtuously , but thou excellest them all. Prov. 31. 29.
