At the time of Maria's baptism the family was living at Wiigøren/Vigøren and Lars was listed as a seaside resident (non-landowner). Lars born at Rødsten connected to Hauglum code F for reference to family page in Church Records from Vik. His occupation was strandsidder which means "person who rented a house on a larger farm near or on the coast.

Vigøren (today Vikøyri) is a village and the administration center for Vik municipality. Pop. approx. 1100. It says somewhere that at the seaside there are some houses that belonged to craftsmen. So they rented the house lot from perhaps the Vik parsonage and most likely owned the house.

Lars married a second time to Ingeborg Olsdtr. Ytre Nesse Jan. 22, 1841. She was born in 1791. It was his second marriage and her first.

Lars and Brita had first place in a "cave"before they moved in 1809 to "Åsberg", then to Vik. Married in Vik parish 1806.
