Andrea (Agnethe), Anne and Peter never married and remained in Norway. Anders and Christine came to the United States. Anders resided in Deerfield, Wisconsin with his family. Christine never married and was a servant for a doctor in Chicago, Illinois. There were many cousins in Wisconsin in the Deerfield area that were descended from brothers and sisters of Lars Andersen Sund. They were the Halvorsens, Bredesens, Evensens (Fritz Engelstad, son of Ludvig, knew Conrad Evensen).

On the 1865 census for Nes, Hedemarken County, Norway, Lars Andersen is listed as age 50 and a widower living on the Engelstad farm (see the census section of this chapter) with his son Anders and his daughter Anne.

On the 1875 census for the Engelstad farm at Nes, Hedemarken County, Norway, Lars Andersen is shown as being born in 1816 and living with his son, Anders Larsen (born in 1845) and Anders´ wife, Alis Nilsdatter (born in 1841) along with Adolf Hansen (born in 1867). Adolf was Alis´s son by a prior marriage. When they came to America he went by Adolf Engelstad. (For a copy, see the census section of this chapter.)

Engelstad was a place that originally was leased by the owner of Lille-Stav. (Stavstua) in 1854. It laid in the lower part of the so-called Slattsveen and was comprised of two large mals and 128 enstenglers fields. Here received the lessees permission to set up a house for himself and family. The production in 1865 was three and one half tons of barley and one ton of potatoes; and in 1875 it was 5/16 ton of barley and one ton of potatoes. The place then was registered under Sund Ovre but in 1891 and 1900 was the place came under Sund Nedre. It was used as a smokehouse on toftes gave and stood over for where Kvelve stands today. (Lars Andersen´s other son was Anders, brother to Frantz). Anders and Alis traveled to the US with their two then living children in 1889. They called themselves Engelstad over there.
