Re: 1900 Census Index Look-up

...

Okay. I am looking for Leonard Beacox (my ancestor) and his sisters, Arletta, Aurilla, Amelia, Rhoda, and Amanda. (One of these sisters you found in the 1900 census.) Some kids were born in Canada, some in Michigan, some in Ohio.

Their father died in Stark Co. in 1847 and their mother remarried in Richland Co. I found her and her new husband in the Richland 1850 Census with only one child (Sophronia) in the household. I've been stumped and a little worried. Where did the other children go???

I just recently learned that there was extended family in Stark Co., so the kids might be in the households of the folks listed below.

Beacox / Becox / Becax / Beacock / Becock (the name changed from Beacock to Beacox about this time as best as I can tell)

Leonard Beacox b.1833 Aurilla / Aurelia Beacox b.1827 Amanda Beacox b.1830 Amelia Beacox b.1840 Rhoda Beacox b.1836

Arletta Brown-- married to William Brown

Mary Seaton--widow, b. 1784

Ira Hamilton Seaton

Benjamin Franklin Seaton

Louise Mobley-- married to Salathiel Mobley / Moblie

Harriet Parmelie-- married to Frederick W. Parmelie / Parmelee

PS, I'm also interested in these same people in the 1840 Census...plus Willard Seaton and George Beacox who both died in 1847.

Any of this you're willing to tackle is received with much gratitude.
